CHOCOLATES!

i've been quite sad lately -- one of my good friends is acting really weird and aloof towards me, our company is on a hot seat now for some bad allegations and worst... i missed RAIN's concert (RAIN is my ultimate favorite Korean actor) last Sept. 11 because im on a "closed-wallet" policy nowadays... waaah!! But, God really has his ways of making me smile -- just last Thu. i've received a parcel from a good friend in New Zealand (thanks, Jeff!) containing bars of CADBURY and WHITTAKER chocolates, all with my favorite almonds and macademia! WOAH! I was so happpppppy! :) So, while I was munching the first WHITTAKER bar (yum! luv it!), i was reflecting how God works in simple yet wonderful ways in my life just to let me know, "hey, Dredd, I'M STILL HERE!" Life's really a box of chocolates, u dont know what u'l get. Now i'm smiling.:)

SINGAPORE 2009

(at the NAIA, Philippines)
It was summer last year when I, together with my officemates (Ateng and her hubby, Ate Espie and Mam Nilds had a chance to go visit Singapore (on a promo fare again, hehe!). I was really astounded how clean and beautiful the place really was and how disciplined are the people there. Those 5 days were simply unforgettable. So, as expected, i took pixx -- lots of it! :)

with Ate Espie... while we were waiting for our flight (5 a.m.).

heaven?! :)

at the Chinatown.. what i like when im in other countries is that i get to wear spaghetti and shorts at the streets without being looked upon, hehe!

at the famous ESPLANADE! ... ( btw, i'd like to thank Raymond Rubia, a friend from HS who toured me around, treated me a good lunch and became my personal photographer.) :)

This was the part of the lights play, SONGS OF THE SEA at the SENTOSA park.. it was soooo great!

Ate Espie and I after our cable ride..hungry!

hey guys, this is OSCAR, Nemo's friend. :)

another pose... haha!

this cable ride was quite scary coz. unlike the usual, this one is open...funny thing was, we conquered our fear just so we can took pixx while on this ride coz the pixx they offer were expensive.. haha!

at the SUNTEC mall.. this is also where the magic fountain (which they say you can make 3 wishes) is located.

watching the kois at the KOI GARDEN...

this one is memorable -- this was the best lunch i've had here so far. 'Raymond's treat! :)

... in one of the best restos there..still at VIVO CITY.

with Ate Espie... :) this was taken inside the mall in Johor, Malaysia. We crossed the boarder from Singapore with a 15-minute bus ride.

at Vivo City... this mall is really huge!

I met up with Ning, a good friend in CGS who's now staying and working at the Coffee Bean here in Singapore. She gave me the best chocolate frappe! :) (thanks, Ning!)

i love this place -- this was at the top of the VIVO CITY mall. Great for photo shoots, haha!

this was taken inside the mall in Malaysia when we crossed the boarder in Johor. It looked like Glorietta inside, :).

i only posed for a pic here but never got to taste this ice cream... mahal! hehe! (still inside Sentosa)

with Ate Espie at the entrance of the Ocean Park at Sentosa...

my first time here! :)

marine life has always been interesting for me... i felt like a student here in a field trip, hahaha!

inside the SENTOSA ocean park -- i find these sea horses really cute! :)

'ready for my first ever cable car ride.. :) wow, the color matched my backpack, hehe!

i was quite nervous here.. nervous and yet still able to pose for a pic, haha!

taken at the VIVO CITY, one of the biggest and most beautiful shopping place there i think.. i remember, we took pixx i think every 15 steps here. ;)

our first stop -- ORCHARD RD. :) this is where the famous designer brands are located. i was happy enough sightseeing.. no shopping , haha!

at the Merlion Park ... beautiful!

i love the lights here..romantic. :)

still at the Merlion Park.. hey, there's the Esplanade!

the most expensive hotel at Singapore..

i've seen this along the road when we were going to Suntec Mall...

see how clean the streets are... :)

'was amused at the colors of this building.. :)

sky scrapers... i took this one when i was going to Ning at the Coffee Bean in Ruffles Place..

the fire station..

a typical afternoon scene.. this way to the Merlion Park..

this is how the residences there looked like. we stayed in one of the units in this condo for 5 days.. (thanks, Ate Marion and family!) :)

i love Orchard Rd. -- it's like a melting pot of different races, 'was very thrilled to see people and their fashion statements. it was like a runway and i felt like watching a huge fashion show.. :O

wow, this is my favorite -- ICE CREAM! :) your visit to Orchard Rd. wouldn't be complete if you won't get to taste the $1 ice cream. :) unlike the usual which is put on a cone, this ice cream is sliced (just as thick as a butter) and is served in between a loaf of a very delicious bread. i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it!

inside MUSTAFA , a one-stop shop where most Pinoys in Singapore are frequently seen. And since i am "kikay", i first browsed on these trinkets (they're soooooo many!). I also bought a few souvenir shirts here for my family. :)

At the Singapore airport - - departure area. Waaaah! im quite sad we're leaving already, 5 days were too short. But am happy also coz. i have a lot of wonderful memories and stories (and pasalubong!) to share with my friends. :) One day i wanna go back again here ...
