AMAZING THAILAND

These pixx were taken May 2008 when I "unpurposedly" (is there such word?!!) went to Thailand. Yeah, it was an unplanned trip -- i was nursing a broken-heart that time, until one of my good friends, Jocelyn Polintan, suggested that I do something I've always dreamt of doing so as to take my mind off that "tragedy" hehe.. and i thought, travel! :) Good thing was, Cebu Pacific had promo fares then (april), so by May, my friend Jane Barerra and I were off to Thailand! (im really thankful to her for joining me in this "impromptu" trip, hehe). It was both our first time to go there.

When asked why i've chosen Thailand, at first i really couldn't explain..i dont know but there's something about it that really fascinates me... perhaps their rich culture, the people and... shopping! haha! But most of all, i believe it is a beautiful country and there are lots of interesting subjects to photograph there. I really enjoyed this trip! super! :)

TEMPLE OF THE RECLINING BUDDHA
(my most favorite among all the temples there... )

TEMPLE OF THE DAWN
'just one of the great temples we've seen.. it was exciting coz. we were able to go there just using the maps we have... it was like a 20-minute walk from the Grand Palace and a 2-minute ferry ride because it is located on the other side of a river.. and guessed what, we were able to climb its peak! ;)

taken inside the Grand Palace, this is where the King and Queen of Thailand used to live... i love the round-shaped trees!

still inside the Grand Palace.. this temple is made up of real gold!

tourists enjoying their boat ride at the famous FLOATING MARKET.. :)

... one of the local vendors.. There's a lot of fruits and souvenir items that one can actually buy there.. i love the dragon fruit (below, color pink)! :)

Thai's counterpart of our local "jeepney" -- the "tuktuk!" :)

"papaya pocpoc" -- Your Thai visit wouldn't be complete if you miss to taste this one. This is really a must try, it's yummy! (btw, i'd like to thank Ate Vhic Crispulo for touring us in Bangkok.. she worked as an English teacher there that time..)
